SSP Virtual Challenge Competition – Week 8

Good morning everyone,

I hope you all had a lovely bank holiday weekend and enjoyed the weather. We went on some lovely walks and discovered parts of Abbots Langley we didn’t know existed.

Firstly a huge well done to all the pupils who took part in last week’s challenge. It was lovely to see the photos you posted and videos of you taking part in the Hula Ball competition.

An amazing number of Little Green pupils took part and submitted their results to the TRWSSP website: Luke, Max, Ardam, Micky, Perez, Nola, Katherine, Emaan, Abigail, Holly, River, Toby, Amy, Hayden, Reece, Evan, Emmie, Ted, Emma, Sam, Max, Ishan, Emerson, Eliya, Hadley, Olivia, Edward. Their total score was 1463 hulas in 60 seconds, making it an average of 54 hulas per pupil. I know lots of you took the challenge but may not have submitted your results – either way well done, we are really proud of you all.

As a result of everyone trying their best, pupils from Little Green won Bronze, Silver and Gold places in the competition. So a huge well done goes to Hayden winning Bronze, Toby winning Silver and Amy winning Gold.

For your next challenge ………..

Week 8 Activity: Step Ups – How many step-ups can you achieve in 60 seconds?

Instructions: Using the bottom step of some stairs (or something you can step up on), step up and down off the step. Count 1 step every time your feet come together on the step. How many steps can you do in 60 seconds? Can you complete it each day and see if you can achieve a personal best by the end of the week?

Please see below for more information about the ‘Step Challenge’.

Time yourself and then scroll down to the google form on this link to submit your results by Friday 12pm. You can enter as many times as you want to, as you may improve your score during the week. http://www.threeriverswatfordssp.co.uk/personal-challenge/4594884649

Your name will go on the sports partnerships twitter account as well as the partnership results table. Please check with an adult it is okay to upload your name first! Good luck and I look forward to seeing your name on the results chart.

Have fun exercising and remember at least 30 minutes of exercise every day will help keep us mentally and physically healthier! Please feel free to upload to google classroom a photo or video any daily exercise you (and your family) complete. Some of the photos you send me may find their way onto the school website (look out for them), so please remember to always check with your parent/s first before posting them.

Take care,
