6R and 4R got together today to do some buddy reading. It was lovely to see the Year 6 pupils having a go at asking inference and vocabulary questions to their buddies; remember the hearing of reading is not the teaching of reading! Some pairs even had a go at leading some fluency echo reading, something we’ve just started doing ourselves in Year 6. Phenomenal effort – well done.
