I’m incredibly pleased and excited to share that Little Green has been awarded with a CWIG Reading for Pleasure Award. The award is a scheme that allows individual authors the opportunity to celebrate schools for their excellence in promoting reading for pleasure.
The nomination was made by Sita Brahmachari, who visited Little Green last term to talk to Year 5 & 6 about her journey as an author, and her book ‘Where the River Runs Gold’. Sita included some extremely kind words explaining our nomination on the award letter which you can see below. She was particularly impressed with Little Green’s commitment to environmental education.
We have received a certificate (below) signed personally by Phillip Pullman – how exciting!
I’m loving the journey that we are on with Reading at Little Green and I look forward to feedback on the new Reading Spine system which will be launched over the next week or two.
A great team effort from all involved!
Congratulations.
Well done Mr Hyde and the team. This award is thoroughly deserved.
