In a competitive and entertaining game, we were pushed right to the end today. After Little Green took an early 3-0 lead, The Russell fought back strongly to make the score 3-2, but ultimately Little Green managed the game well, restoring their 3 goal lead at 5-2, before conceding a late consolation goal.
A superb hat-trick from Ty leaves him level with Micky as top scorer, now each with seven goals this season.
The team march on into the quarter-finals of the Wix Cup, which covers the whole of Herts and some surrounding areas too. More details to follow.
