3H have been learning about skeletons! They have identified that humans and some other animals have skeletons for support, protection and movement. For this activity, the children predicted what bones are in the human skeleton and built a model using art straws. They then used secondary resources to look at a detailed diagram before making changes to their own model.

Pupil Voice – “I didn’t rwalise there were so many bones in the hands!”

Pupil Voice – “I liked learning the proper names for the bones. Our head bone is called a skull and also a cranium and the biggest bone in a body is the femur.”
