Rowan have been looking at the four sentence types in their Grammar lesson today.
- A question contains a question mark.
- A command starts with an imperative verb.
- A statement contains and noun and a verb and is informative.
- An exclamation starts with ‘How…’ or ‘What…’ and ends in an exclamation mark.
The children have been applying this knowledge to a ‘Tarsia’ puzzle and it really got us thinking. We persevered and the puzzle started coming together.
