Password Task

Children in years 3, 4 and 5 have been set a ‘password task’ in their Google Classrooms today which involves them signing out of, then back into their Little Green Google account. There are two reasons for this:
  1. To ensure that the children who have been relying on their device remembering their password, know their password.
  2. To maximise learning time when we return to school in September, by providing the children’s teacher with a way to access their password.
We are acutely aware that some schools give their children a password that follows a particular format, but in our view, this goes against everything we teach in e-safety. Also, we believe that our children are capable of remembering their own unique password, given the right support.
We would be very grateful if you could support your children with this task and have attached a completed example below..
We will stress to the children that you should never divulge your password to anyone else, but i’m sure you can see why we need to carry out a task like this, for classroom management reasons.
