In Year 5, we used Shrove Tuesday as an opportunity to make Pancakes and support our learning in Maths, Science and RE.
The children needed to adapt a recipe, calculate the amount of ingredients for their group, weigh and measure the ingredients as well as think about the Scientific processes taking place (Irreversible changes). We also discussed the significance of Shrove Tuesday in Christianity.
What a fun and yummy way to learn!
