A Snapshot of 3H

In DT, we have been learning about designing, measuring, cutting and joining. The children developed these skills to produce photograph frames using wooden dowels. They used table clamps and saws to get the correct length and angle of wood for their frames. Some of the class wanted to give the frames as Christmas presents and so thought carefully about how the recipient will influence their design.

Pupil Voice – “This is really fun! I love using the tools!”

Pupil Voice – “Next time I would put the triangle reinforcement at the back so I can’t see it. Also, I wasn’t very careful with measuring so my wood didn’t stick completely. Mrs Crawford says measure twice and cut once!”
